Growing Readers Club - How does it work? Librarians will choose 2 to 3 books for you that will relate to the monthly theme. The materials will be checked out to you at the Marceline Carnegie Library, and available for pick up in the first week of the month. Included with the books, will be a craft and a small treat to keep. Your books will be due back on the first Friday of the following month, if you have not finished your books, you may contact the library to renew them. Books with a hold list (another patron is waiting for them) cannot be renewed. You may opt out of the Growing Readers program at any time, by contacting the Marceline Carnegie Library.
September 15, 2025 at 2:30pm - Friends of the Marceline Carnegie Library meeting at the Marceline Carnegie Library. Membership is open to everyone. Membership fee is $10.
September 15, 2025 anytime between 1:00pm and 4:00pm - Craft Time For Adults in the library's basement. We will have an unstructured, relaxing, and fun afternoon creating! We will have various supplies to use to make your own sign. Cost is $5.00
September 20, 2025 at 7:00pm - Free Movie at Ripley Park by the stage. Be sure to bring your family and friends, along with lawn chairs and blankets for our movie in the park. Popcorn, candy, and drinks will be available to purchase at the concession stand.
September 22, 2025 at 2:00pm - Marceline Historical Society meeting in the small room at the Walsworth Community Center.
Weekend of September 26 and 27, 2025 - Marceline City Wide Fall Garage Sale. The cost is $10 for 25 word description or less, and $5 for additional words on the map. The deadline to have the form filled out is Monday, September 22. Download your form here.
November 18, 2025 - The Marceline Carnegie Library will hold a pie sale at 9:30am until the pies are sold out. There will be a variety of pies to buy. Proceeds will be used to help with the library's programs. Please bring cash or check for your purchase.
